THE CLAIM:
A pregnant Major Kira kicked three bat'leth wielding Klingon's asses in "Way of the Warrior" by herself.
THE TRUTH:
Actually, I take full credit for starting this Usenet rumor about 1998! The pregnant Major Kira thing came from my website, because it was a bit of an inside joke. The actress was pregnant at the time, but Major Kira wasn't Here's what really happened:
Nana (Kira) Visitor and Siddig El Fadil/Alexander Siddig (Bashir) were banging each other. And in early '97 or so, Visitor became the proud mother of a bouncing baby boy. Siddig is the father.
So Kira wasn't OFFICIALLY pregnant in "Way of the Warrior". But in the episode, "Body Parts", Keiko, Cheif O'Brien's wife, was pregnant. On the way back to DS9 in a runabout, they were struck by an asteriod. Keiko was thrown against the bulkhead, and suffered internal damage. Dr. Bashir and Major Kira were the only other people on the runabout, so to save the baby, Bashir "beamed" the baby into Kira. Bashir thought he could put the baby back in Keiko once they got back to the station, but because of the abnormalities of Bajoran bodies, Kira had to carry the baby to term.
Here's a quick look at a debate about the subject I had with a particularly idiotic VS Trekkie:
What about Trek inefficiency? Idiot Klingons beaming aboard DS9 with swords while everyone else has energy weapons,
TREK:
Honor.
Honor is performing a duty worthy of respect of your peers. Dishonor is getting your ass kicked by an unarmed pregnant Bajoran woman while you hold a sword. Stupidity is beaming into the middle of a space station armed with swords while everyone else has range weapons.
TREK:
Most of this is red herring.
Which part? You don't even know what the term "red herring" means in a debate. The above fits perfectly with the debate about, and is so devastating to your point you have no answer for it. Anton.
TREK:
And the more handicaps the Klingons gave themselves the more honorable their victory would have been.
So if Kira strapped on a dildo and banged them in the ass they'd be the most honored Klingons who ever lived?
